Where the information comes from:

Items 1-6 as supplied by the Member on their New Member/Membership Renewal Form.
Items 7-11 as entered by the Membership Secretary.
Item 11 may contain notes which typically relate to non-standard subscriptions such as "Paid 4 years subs in advance" or "Subscription paid by relative as gift". This enables us to better manage non-standard payments.

Who the data is shared with (1):

A spreadsheet containing a list of names & addresses of recipients of Cockney Ancestor magazine is sent to our printers once a quarter.

Purpose (1)

To enable creation of address labels for the delivery of your Cockney Ancestor magazine.

Who the data is shared with (2):

When members log in to the Member Area Forum, the following data is shared with who provide our Forum platform:

  • First name
  • Surname
  • Membership number
  • Email address

Purpose (2)

To enable you to create Forum posts and replies and receive replies to them from other members.

Payment method information

We do not hold any Member's bank or credit card details. Our bank statements show only date, subscription amount received and membership number for reference.

Deletion of Data

Personal data will be deleted 7 years after the last financial transaction between the Member and the Society. This data is required for accounting audit purposes.

The East of London Family History Society (EoLFHS) does not use first-party cookies on its web site and does not collect, store or distribute either internally or to others any details of the users of its web site.
