In 1885 The Huguenot Society of London was founded by directors of the The French Hospital (founded in 1718) to promote the publication and interchange of knowledge about the Huguenots in Great Britain and Ireland, a good deal of which, with the passage of time, was unknown to many of their descendants.
The London Family History Centre is one of more than 4,500 Family History Centres of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the largest such Centre outside of North America, and one of more than 100 Centres in the British Isles. It holds a good collection of finding aids and a significant collection of primary records, mostly on microfilm.
